This study will sequence and analyse whole-genomes of the liver fluke parasite Opisthorchis viverrini, which is endemic in regions of Southeast Asia. Both egg and adult worm stages of the parasitic lifecycle will be sequenced. The analysis will compare the relatedness of parasites from different geographic regions and also from different definative host species to infer if zoonotic transmission is occuring.
Sample: Southeast Asian liver fluke
